Ján is a Slovakian advocate, with a PhD. He graduated from the Comenius University in Bratislava in 2003. During and after university, he worked as an intellectual property lawyer for Neuschl&Wspólnicy Law Firm and, later, as a lawyer for Tesco Stores SR, as.
In 2005, he passed an examination in international law and commercial law and was subsequently awarded a PhD in law.
In 2005-2007, he was a lawyer for Janas&Krakovsky, later renamed as Krakovsky i Wspólnicy.
