KBZ Law & Tax representatives in the Silesian Council for Korean Investments
On 26 October 2026, the second meeting of the Silesian Council for Korean Investments took place in Katowice, Poland. During the meeting, two representatives of KBZ Law & Tax were formally appointed to roles supporting economic and institutional cooperation between Poland and the Republic of Korea.
As part of the Council’s activities:
- Krzysztof Żuradzki, Managing Partner at KBZ Law & Tax, was appointed Council Representative for Poland–Korea Relations.
- Dr Chang Il You, associated with KBZ Korean Desk, was appointed Special Advisor for Poland–Korea Relations.
Their responsibilities include facilitating communication between Polish and Korean stakeholders, ensuring an effective exchange of information, and strengthening long-term relationships between regional institutions and the Korean investment community.
These appointments represent a further step in KBZ Law & Tax’s involvement in developing Polish-Korean economic and institutional cooperation.
Silesian Council for Korean Investments – A Platform for Institutional Dialogue
The Silesian Council for Korean Investments was established at the initiative of the Katowice Special Economic Zone (KSSE) to provide a permanent platform for dialogue between public institutions, business organisations, academic institutions and Korean companies operating in the region.
The Silesian Voivodeship has become one of Poland’s leading destinations for Korean investment. Korean companies contribute significantly to the development of advanced manufacturing, technology transfer, job creation and the region’s overall economic growth.
The Council’s primary objective is to support both new investment projects and Korean businesses already operating in Silesia.
Its key areas of activity include:
- establishing a permanent communication channel between Korean investors and regional institutions,
- identifying legal, administrative and organisational barriers affecting investment projects,
- improving cooperation between businesses and public authorities,
- facilitating the exchange of experience and best practices,
- developing recommendations to improve the regional business environment,
- strengthening long-term economic relations between Silesia and the Republic of Korea.
The Council operates as an advisory and consultative body, complementing existing investor support mechanisms. Its role is to identify systemic challenges, facilitate institutional dialogue and support coordination between relevant stakeholders.
The Council brings together representatives of national and regional government institutions, the Katowice Special Economic Zone, business organisations, universities and Korean institutions, including the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, KOTRA, KITA and organisations representing Korean businesses.
